Activate launches JoviBears Beta in China – www.yyxiong.cn

Activate launches our first simplified Chinese beta version of Jovibears , known as 悦悦熊 , in China.

JoviBears is a web-based online multiplayer game, targeted at children below 9 years old.  It is a place where children can make friends, play games that stimulate their young minds and help them learn in a fun way, all in a safe and controlled environment.

In the virtual world of JoviBears, players control bear avatars that they create to represent them, and participate in a variety of fun and enriching activities:

• Learn social skills through interacting with others players, making friends, sending postcards and inviting others to visit their customized homes.
• Play carefully designed mini games that train the memory, reflex, cognitive control and creative aspects of the brain. Learning through gaming is a fun way that motivates children to learn willingly and eagerly.
• Learn about how the economy works. Players would earn virtual coins by doing well in the games. They can then use the coins to purchase virtual clothing and accessories that customize their avatars. To encourage recycling and prudence, players can get back a fraction of the original purchase price if they sell their old items back to the shops in the near future.
  
• Explore the books in the virtual Bear Library, participate in quizzes, read famous quotes while waiting for the game to load- we have many ways to help the children gain knowledge.
