Thousands of years ago, the known galaxy of Xsidus was enslaved by the tyrannical Aterians. But a handful of heroes representing the four races Human, Brucian, Taikuu and Firan, led a revolt that brought freedom to the galaxy.

The four races have spent the last centuries in peace. Worlds have been rebuilt, new colonies have prospered and a new Confederation has been formed between the free worlds.

Although peace has since returned to the galaxy, rumors have begun to circulate of a great new evil stirring; colonies suddenly going silent, ships vanishing without a trace and sectors of space that even the hardiest space traveler avoid…
